ISTC General Data Protection Regulation

ISTC has been contracted by the EU DG DEVCO to implement all activities under the Project MC 5.01/15 B Support to Southern African States in Nuclear Safety and Safeguards. ISTC, as an intergovernmental organisation had been required to adopt new policies that were established by the EU DG DEVCO.

Regulation (EU) 2018/1725, which obliges the EU Institutions to guarantee an equivalent level of protection as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) when they are processing personal data, entered into force on 11 December 2018. Directorate – General for International Cooperation and Development is handling personal data for the purposes of the Instrument for contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) events in accordance with the principles of Regulation (EU) 2018/1725 and as detailed in the specific privacy statement (please follow the link below)

In line with the provisions of this Regulation, all individuals will be requested consent for their explicit agreement to  (i) share the participants list to the event, containing your name, email and affiliation, with other participants for networking purpose, follow up of the work initiated and future collaboration (ii) process your personal data containing your name, image to be shared on ISTC's and Project websites http://www.istc.int/, www.sadcproject.istc.int.

You can freely withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e – mail to ISTC Project Management. In that case, all processing operations that were based on your consent and took place before the withdrawal of consent remain valid.
